Sotira is one of the largest coastal towns in the free Famagust area with a population of 5,500 inhabitants. Its coastline extends for over two kilometres with breathtaking beaches and pristine turquise waters. On the mainland you can find traditional buldings and cultivated fields that grow famous local vegetables such as potatoes and taro plantations, which are known as ‘kolokasi’.
