CHANNELLING OF SWIMMING POOL WATER TO PUBLIC SPACES
NOTICE
It has been observed that several home owners / tenants have installed piping to channel dirty swimming pool water to public roads or other spaces.
According to the sanitation requirements for the issuance of building permits regarding swimming pools, a pool operating on recirculating water must be equipped with an appropriate drainage system for water leaking from the pump piping and the other components. Any type of direct connection to the sewer system is not permitted. Residences that channel swimming pool water anywhere other than into an appropriate drainage system are not in compliance with the sanitation requirements of the building permits.
In light of the above, home owners / tenants who channel dirty swimming pool water to public roads or other spaces are hereby notified to comply by the 31st of May 2022. If not, all measures provided in the relevant legislation will be taken without further notice.
This must also be considered as personal notice to all home owners or tenants concerned.
